Kitties for FREE!!

Did you know you can't give away kitties on Craig's List for free? You can re-home them for a fee. What ever that means. So I put them on Craig's List -- for $.50. LOL Some fee.

I'm GIVING THESE AWAY FOR FREE HERE!!
First come first serve... don't every body rush at me at once! Hurry, hurry, hurry! You'll miss your chance if you wait any longer!

Any one want one? They are CUTE!!

Actually -- I think you need both... they need a brother to play with at your house.

Here is the photo -- they are the 2 light colored ones. They need a home.
Their MOM is a great mouser! That trait may be genetic... but don't hold me to it. I see them pouncing on things already -- I think they will be mousers... but who knows?

They are MALES... but the tamest outdoor males I've ever seen. My 5 kiddos hold them, and play with them, and put them in slings, and carry them around in their bags, and they've even been held upside down by guests. (I don't let my kids hold animals upside down). :giggle:

Oh -- another thought... if you took both of these... I just about can guarantee you wouldn't have more baby kitties for a long, long time. ;-)

So -- if you want them give my dear husband a call... he really, really wants to talk to you.

Some Body LOVES the Kitty!

We still have a few kitties left from the last batch that was born.
Cousin Sophia LOVES the kitties!
The kitties love to come inside. They aren't ALLOWED to come inside... but if you are as cute as Sophia... then -- well... OK... just for a while.

"Just for a while?" This kitty was SO patient!

Be NICE to the kitty -- LOL
Grandpa let the cat out of the bag while he was here. Want to hear about it?
Sure you do -- everyone needs a good laugh once in a while.

I took Danielle to the dentist the same day that my parents and sister were to come to town. What was I thinking? So -- I got ahold of them and said, "I'm out of town... can you let yourself into our house?"
SURE -- they said... so they did.
Well -- when they did... the cat's snuck in. They are SO FAST!!

I called to see how they were doing and if they knew how to get where we were going to meet up. Dad said, "Hello." I said, "Hello, this is Jennifer--"

Dad hurridely interrupted me, "HOW DO YOU KEEP THESE CRAZY CATS OUT OF YOUR HOUSE?"

Oh yeah... I forgot about the cats.

Well -- I learned later that he'd was running around after the kitties -- trying to get them out of the house... one didn't particularly like the method he was using and decided to use his hand as a clawing post. OUCH.
So -- the next kitty he wised up... he grabbed a Wal-Mart sack and stuck the kitty it in and opened the front door and...

you guessed it...

he LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG!

It seemed to make out OK.
Don't you think?

Oh hey -- I think that post it note says "K" for kitchen. They were EVERYWHERE.

LOVE?

The other day Danielle and Wayne were jumping on the trampoline.
I saw the cat, Susan, scurry for safety under the trampoline.
She seemed to be carrying a sock full of sand, or something.
I hollered out to them... "what does Susan have in her mouth?"
Wayne took a look for me.

It was a squirrel.
I thought I would zoom in... I forgot to switch it from "sport"... so it's blurry.

Mercy...

That's quit a bit lunch to munch.

That's is why we keep the cats... they eat rodents... squirrels some, but most importantly....
MICE!!

Thank You Susan.
Keep up the good work.
I... really... like you.
(I wouldn't call it love).

CUTE KITTIES

I'm not really an animal person.
But I overheard Tori telling someone -- "My mom only likes kitties, she doesn't like any other pets."
Ü
Well -- what's not to like about kitties?
They are so stinking cute!!
And pouncy.
And CUTE!
And fun to watch.

And CUTE!! Did I mention that one yet?
Don't you agree?
Yeah -- their mommy is so proud -- or is that tired?

Well -- I'd be tired with 4 babies at one time too.

The Best Place to Have Kitties

Well -- we got home from our trip -- and were greeted enthusiastically by our dog, Ebony. Oh he was so excited to see some of us. (Not me). He loves the kids! After a bit I asked, "Has anyone seen Susan?" OK -- not my blogging friend Susan... but our CAT named Susan. She was preggo when we left -- we were curious to see if we had more pets when we come home, then when we left.

Nope -- nothing -- don't see her. Not unusual -- maybe she's out hunting wabbits. So we unloaded the van. Took everything inside... Dan is outside doing some final tidying (he is always doing some final tidying :giggle:) "TORI" Dan is hollering for Tori - she is our pet lover.

He says he can hear the kitty -- but can't find her. Where is Susan?

Can you see her?

That's right WAYNE -- she is IN the milk can -- WITH her 4 kitties.

What a place to have your babies.

Look at that protective arm over her babies. These are brand spanking NEW kitties too. I think they were born the day we came home... if not hours before we came home. I'm guessing she thought that would be the safest place around. Maybe under the porch other critters may get in there? Who knows. I don't think like a cat.

I made her move out of the milk can. I thought it would get hot in there. And I doubt she could get out of there very easily. So we put the pet porter up on the porch, tipped over the milk can and enticed her into the cat carrier with some milk. I had to dump the kitties out of the milk jug. I hope I didn't cause any brain damage -- I tried to be gentle.

She's doing fine.
Susan is the only cat we have left from our last batch of kitties.
So we are starting fresh.
What a way to end a vacation.

I praise God every day for my family. Things like this remind us that God is an awesome creator. He made small insignificant things like cats and their kitties, all the way up to my dear husband and his wonderful babies.

Thanks for a wonderful time Dan. I sure loved traveling with you. I can't wait to do it again some time. You are a great provider and protector. I just can't imagine going through this week with out you. You are a great husband and wonderful father!

Thank you kiddos for being so great. You are wonderful travelers! Hardly complaining -- OK... so that's not so true. But really only complaining a little. I had fun with you and really enjoy being around you.

Thank you Lord, again, for all you have given me. Kitties, fillies and air conditioner too!

Ebony Vs. The Opossum

Aww... look at that cute opossum.

He wandered into our yard -- in broad daylight -- searching for some food.

Oh.. found it. He snuck into our "cat door" that is too small for the dog, but just the right size for the cats and certain opossums. See his tail... he's quick. That's all I got of him STEALING our food in broad daylight.

But never fear... I've got a 8yo boy. With a big stick. He called Ebony -- our fearless dog -- and opened the door with his weapon of choice. (The stolen A&E Milk carton came into our family LONG ago, and could probably still be returned, but I didn't steal it -- I'm still praying about that one. I'll let the Holy Spirit deal with that thief, in his own good time.)

Anyway... We use that milk carton weighed down with rocks to keep our greedy dog out of his food.

OK -- so here comes Ebony. Ready to defend his food.

And here go I, quickly retreating indoors. Not really willing to see all the blood and guts that I envision will come forth.

Boy am I wrong... Ebony apparently trotted right back out after I went inside and left the opossum to his dog and cat food buffet.

Dan stood up for the mutt -- he said, "Opossums play dead... maybe he thinks it's dead."

Yeah right... After my walk with him, and his quick retreat this day, I'm thinking we've got a coward as a guard dog. All bark and no bite. Just don't tell the burglars that.

We have since moved the food, and Mansel is convinced that next time the thief comes around -- he'll not call the dog... he'll take matters into his own hands. I pray I'm not at home!!

Update on the Orphans

Remember our new arrivals. We think an owl took their mother. She never returned...

BUT -- they are thriving.

Here they are. There are 4 of them. Three of them must be identical... well to adults anyway. I can never tell them apart -- but my kiddos say, "No -- that's Susan." Oh.. sorry... Come here Only. **rolls their eyes** "That's NOT Only mom... it's Pretty Lady." Well -- good grief... let's get some collars or something. (Like I'd remember which color went with which collar with which name... that's why I call them all kitty!)

Who knows which one is which -- but they are cute. I don't know... all of these photos could be of the same one.

Green eyes... how pretty... This looks huge in this photo -- but they are so small. Want to see how small? Look how small they are wet.

A wet kitty... scrawny huh!?! LOL -- I didn't do that. Someone else did. He just jumped up on the porch all wet -- so I snapped his picture. How do I know it's a he... he's the only one named TIGER. Pretty obvious. ;) Oh man -- I hope this one doesn't get run over by a semi -- I think he's a keeper.

OK -- now this one has a brown patch above it's eye... but don't ask me which one it is. But isn't it cute??? Hanging off the stair like that - you'd think it was posed. No it wasn't... I've not got time to pose kittens. I was just snapping away... I was not posing it!! Was NOT!

Enjoy! Kitties don't say kitties long... then they are cats -- which I don't like. Unless they are really, really good mousers!! Then they can stay. °Ü°

As Promised

Just 1 short month ago, we gained a few family members. Here are some updated photos. If you want to view them larger -- click on the photo itself.

Momma and her babies -- all resting on a tipped over stroller. Must feel like a hammock or something. A change of scenery from the stuffy old cat carrier full of hay. Baby (the mother) with her babies; Tiger - M, Susan - F, Only - M, and Pretty Lady - F. Like those names? Only got his name, because he was the only boy... until someone investigated further... but it's too late -- he's named. LOL

They are CUTE aren't they. Tiger practicing his crouching before pouncing skills.

Really, really cute! Pretty Lady -- just being pretty -- that's all.

Here's a prayer request... Tori hasn't seen the mother in 2 days. Eekk... that's not a good sigh. She said the kitties are eating the cat food -- whew... but I think they are too young to be with out a mother. She's not being very responsible... leaving with no notice and no kitty care.
