e-mealz

E-MEALZ EASY AND DELICIOUS DINNER RECIPES

Any one do this? If you do -- let me know.

I'm subscribed for 3 months. So far so good. The planning is all done. Whew... that was easy. I went grocery shopping. They had most of the ingredients that I was looking for.

I'll keep you posted on how it goes for 3 months.

I have been going grocery shopping once a month. But that's not working -- we ALWAYS run out of produce. I try to save money back to we can bet fresh stuff at the end... but that doesn't work usually. I try to eat South Beachish style -- but on week 4.. I'm usually diving into the crackers as a snack becuase we don't have any fruit left, or not eating as many salads as I should.

So -- I'm going to do COSTCO once a month - a long with ALDI while I'm in town, then I'll shop at FAREWAY once a week using my e-mealz list. I bought the Wal-Mart list because they don't have one for Fareway, but Fareway grocery prices are cheaper than Wal-Mart, so I'll still be OK.

There are actually different lists for different "plans". I'm going to use the Low Carb list. How cool is that?? I'm very excited about THAT! There is also a weight watchers list, a low fat list, or just a plain old list. There are different stores too. I wish there were an ALDI list. LOL Now -- that would be perfect... but I KNOW that Aldi prices are lower than Wal-Mart prices. So I could use the Wal-Mart list at ALDI for one week. That wouldn't hurt my feelings any.

So -- here we go -- to the grocery store today.

In 2008 I will...

Molly Randolph over at Homeschool with Index Cards has a great freebie right now. An index card that you can use to write your goals for 2008 on. You can print it out and store it where you will see it often. Then keep your goals in the forefront of your mind and be diligent at working on them regularly.

She uses Mark 12.30 as the main verse, then she makes her goals using 4 different themes. Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength. I'm going to copy after her. ;)

  1. HEART Think right. Keep my heart free from sin. Phi 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
I need to finish reading Loving God with All Your Mind, by Elizabeth George.
  2. SOUL Read through the Bible in 90 days.
  3. SOUL Find an accountability partner for my spiritual life. I'm hoping to use my prayer partner that I'll be getting through Faith Baptist Church in town. I'm praying for my prayer sister already. God knows who I need as a partner.
  4. SOUL Mentor my children with their devotions and their walk with God. Start good habits at a young age.
  5. MIND Read a "thoughtful" book each month. I read enough of fiction. So this must be history, or a "better myself" type book.
  6. MIND Write a handwritten note to a 1 friend a month.
  7. MIND Start school for self.
  8. MIND Keep up with school for kiddos.
  9. STRENGTH Stick with good eating habits. Try cooking South Beach-ish each month.
  10. STRENGTH Develop and stick to a regular exercise routing. Finish a 5K this year by doing Couch to 5K in the Spring.
  11. STRENGTH Get weight down below obesity level. I'm only 5'2", so I'll let you figure that out.

OK -- there ya go. I've got some goals... let's all pray I meet them this year. ;)

Happy 2008!

Drink Water on Empty Stomach Therapy

Have you heard of this? Drink Water on Empty Stomach Therapy. Sounds funny? Apparently in Japan and India it's a thing that works to cure ailments and disease.

Method of Treatment

  1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink four glasses of water each of 160 ml.
  2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes.
  3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.
  4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for two hours.
  5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink four glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to four glasses per day.
  6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.
What do you think of it? Gonna try it?

Well -- need more convincing??

The Japanese medical society claims 100 hundred percent cure for the following diseases
  • Headache
  • Body Ache
  • Heart System
  • Arthritis
  • Fast Heart Beat
  • Epilepsy
  • Excess
  • Fatness
  • Bronchitis
  • Asthma
  • TB
  • Meningitis
  • Kidney and Urine diseases
  • Vomiting gastritis
  • Diarrhea
  • Piles
  • Diabetes
  • Constipation
  • All Eye Diseases
  • Menstrual Disorders
  • Ear Nose
  • Throat Diseases
OK -- I'll agree with the constipation one.... that seems obvious, but diarrhea? HA! Seems sort of like an oxymoron. Let's see... what do I have that it could cure. Oh hey, I see one -- Fatness. 100% cure huh?? Hmmm... let me get my glasses of water ready. I'll start tomorrow. °Ü°

Oh - what's this? The author of this page has added a p.s.

Important: Please note there are no scientific evidences of this theory to be true. I am just sharing what was shared with me. I’ve searched on the web for the Japanese medical society who claimed this water theory to be true but was unable to find any clue. If you have any clue, please post it as the comment.
::sigh:: I KNEW it -- too good to be true.

Monkey See Monkey Do

Monkey See Monkey Do, originally uploaded by ~*~ Jennifer ~*~.

Like father - Like son. Dan can be seen here doing his stretches for his plantar something or other (how ever you spell it -- it's painful).

Wayne loves his Daddy. Can you tell -- he wants to be like him so much.

When Dan comes home from work, if Wayne is not napping -- he'll always have a gloriously enthusiastic welcome home!

When Wayne wakes up in the morning -- one of his first questions usually is, "Where Daddy." Then I say at work, then he'll say, "Oh yeah!", and grin.

My son chooses his role models well.

Apple Cider Vinegar + Honey

Tori, Dani and I have drank our ACV cocktail to see if we can prevent the throw ups.

So -- that's 3 who have the ACV cocktail. 3 who didn't and 1 who already threw everything up. I'll keep you posted.

*************************************************
Apple Cider Vinegar Cocktail

2 oz of ACV
2 oz of honey (or more!)
4 oz of water
2-3 ice cubes.

BLEND in the blender.

Drink as much as you can. Usually we sip it. It tastes a little bit like spicey lemonaide... if you squint your eyes and plug your nose. But it's worth it. If it keeps me from vomiting... I'll drink it all day long.
