A Broken Bone

It's JUST CRACKED!
But you still have to wear a splint, then a cast, even if it's just cracked.
(left non displaced cracked tibia - high - if any of you care to know)

Danielle was jumping on the trampoline with a bunch of kids Thursday, before dinner, and she got landed on.

This landed her on the couch.

But she got a pair of crutches out of the deal.
Aren't they cute? So tiny... so small...

Her cousin Julia got to go to the clinic with her. My sister Becky says, "She really learned a lot there." Sort of like a field trip. What NOT to do on Thanksgiving Day.

So tiny... so cute...
The FLORESCENT PINK permanent cast is on now... only 4 more weeks to go.

  1. Poor girlie. Hope she isn't getting a bike for Christmas. How are the chicken pox?

  3. Oh, OUCH!!! Hope she heals quickly! You are brave having a trampoline. Those things scare me. But of course, I have two wild boys. LOL

  4. When it rains it pours . . . oh wait, you asked for the pox! (As would I.)

Both of mine of suffered from broken bones as did I in the fourth grade. . . genetic clumsiness!

I pray she will heal quickly!

  5. The chicken pox are gone from Danielle -- we are awaiting them for the boys. They didn't get them the first time around... maybe they will from her.

She'll get her cast off January 9th. I need to video tape her scooting around the house. It's rather comical. There she goes... scooting through the library -- her pants are going to be filthy. Oh well...

Lisa -- I lost the trampoline vote. LOL It was thought to be safe -- because of the net... who knew she's get landed on. Now we know...
